Bali Part 1

Bali is AMAZING!!!!!

I stayed in a bungalow on Lembongan Island, which is a 30 minute boat ride from Bali. Let me just say it was the BEST experience of my life. Here is the link for the place I stayed...

Tuna, potato wedges, green beans, tomatoes and some kind of sauce.
Can you say YUMMY GOODNESS??? lol

This the owner Sentana and his wife Putu

This is their daughter Gita-I love this little girl so much

I would definitely recommend this place and I will be going again in the near future. I had an amazing experience. It is peaceful and freeing there. The people were so nice and welcoming. They seem genuine and carefree. I have never been to a country and felt like I did once I landed in Indonesia. Most people there practice Hindu and there are temples EVERYWHERE. I think it is awesome that they have their faith and don't have a lot, but are so happy. I think people in western countries should pay attention and incorporate some things from the Balinese culture into their everyday lives.

Sentana was AWESOME. He is very down to earth and a kind man. His family is awesome as well and I met his brother/cousins/uncles. He is very family oriented and he loves meeting new people. His brother's name is Kadek, he is cute and nice. Kadek picked me up from the boat and I rode on back of his scooter once I arrived on Lembongan Island. The ride was a bit scary because it was bumpy but by the second day I felt like a pro. Most people rent scooters on the island so they drive around and site see. Sentana is also a chef to he prepared the meals and let me say the food was delicious. I had to prevent myself from licking my plate. haha

Overall, I am in love with Bali and I will be visiting again. I was able to relax and not think about anything which is hard for many Americans. lol

Singapore

I visited Singapore on November 12-13, 2013. Although I was only there for one day, I really enjoyed myself. Below are pictures of a couple of sites around the city. I really like the city because it was clean. haha I stayed in a nice hostel called 5 Footway Inn, located in Bugis. I went to China town because I was missing China already. I just walked around all day and it was great. I like traveling alone because I am able to do whatever I want. Singapore has a mixture of many people and it seemed like a great place to live. It is expensive but it is worth it.

This the worlds tallest Ferris wheel called the Singapore Flyer

This is one of the most expensive casino and resort called Marina Bay Sands.

The Sri Mariamman Temple is Singapore's oldest Hindu temple. I actually went inside this temple and it was fascinating. Very cool architecture

This is my girl Betty. She is originally from Inner Mongolia but I met her while I was living in Beijing. She is studying in Singapore. She became my first Chinese friend in Beijing.

November 9th 2013 @ 12 am

November 9th 2013 around 12 am was the night I left Beijing. Although it was only a few days ago, I am missing my friends already. The day leading up to my departure was crazy, well I was crazy. haha I had to work that day and planned on coming home to take a nap. Clearly that didn't happen!!!!

A couple of my friends wanted to meet up before I left so I said "come on over". So that night it was my flatmate Claire, Miya, Jenny, Jack, and Maggie. We had dinner and talked about our lives in China. They all stayed until I literally got into the taxi to head to the airport. Miya even called to arrange a taxi to pick me up outside my apartment. I haven't felt so LOVED in a long time and I will always be grateful to them. We all hugged and some of us cried as we said our goodbyes. As you can see in the photos Claire was a wreck and Maggie was trying to hide her sadness by pretending to tie her shoe. HAHA

Anyways, I decided to write because it is too dark in my bungalow and the lighting isn't great. I never write but this wasn't so bad...maybe I will write more in the future. I just wanted to make a post about these five people that I truly love and they all have helped me in many ways during the challenging 14 months I lived in China.

One of those DAYS...

The air pollution in Beijing has been very unhealthy lately...well that is what the pollution checkers have said. This is the lovely grey sky I see weekly here and my mask that helps me to stay "healthy". I look sad and crazy but hey I am wearing a mask! lol

What a day!

Who am I?

Who am I? I am worthy of love and forgiveness. I won't fail because I am strong. I will forgive myself for my past mistakes and look at them as gifts. I will not dwell on the past nor the future. I will live in the here and now. I will focus on one thing at a time. I will continue to love people but have to love myself first. I am WORTHY. I am WORTHY. Yes, I am WORTHY.

Phuket

Here are pictures of my hotel (Kalima Resort and Spa). I loved this hotel and would recommend it if you want to go to relax. If you go to party then I recommend that you lived closer to the city which has bars, clubs, etc.

Sorry but forgot to talk about my hair. There are two salons here in Beijing owned by African women. One is  Majesty, which is where I usually go. The other is Palma's Salon, where I got the braids done in the picture. I love my hair, it took forever but definitely worth it. This is a fun picture of my and my friend Sharon. She is from Shanghai and she is AWESOME.
